HELLER Industries

USA

Heller Industries was founded in 1960. It specializes in the production of reflow ovens for soldering printed circuit boards, as well as for accelerated polymerization of adhesives, coatings and other materials.

Their factories are in the United States, South Korea and China. In the 1980s, the company put into production for the first time in the world tunnel ovens with forced convection, with independent top and bottom control of the heating zones and with a flow cleaning system without interruption of the operating mode. For these and other achievements, several times they were awarded the Vision Award - the most prestigious award in the world for innovation in electronics.

More than 20,000 Heller reflow ovens operate with customers in all corners of the world.

MK7 is their latest series of forced convection ovens, characterized by the lowest consumption of electrical energy, the shortest time for profile changeover and periodic maintenance.

MK5 is the previous series of these ovens, which has shown high reliability and stability for many years, both in our country and in the world.

Void Reduction in Bottom Terminated Components Using Vacuum Assisted Reflow

Pockets of gas, or voids, trapped in the solder interface between discrete power management devices and circuit assemblies are, unfortunately, excellent insulators, or barriers to thermal conductivity. This resistance to heat flow reduces the electrical efficiency of these devices, reducing battery life and expected functional lifetime of electronic assemblies.

Optimize solder reflow

With solder reflow, relying on commonly accepted practices can lead engineers to overlook some relatively simple factors that are critical to optimizing the process. An examination of six “conventional wisdom” tenets reveals that challenging them can contribute significantly to improved yields.
