Yamaha Robotics introduces surface-mounter innovations for easy-fit performance boost
Yamaha Robotics SMT Section has introduced three hardware-based performance options for high-speed mounters that enhance productivity, quality control, and flexibility for handling special products such as large LED boards. Available for all new Yamaha mounters, these options are designed for easy fitting to simplify upgrading equipment already in the field. The new features include nozzle-tip force measurement for early detection of issues such as blockages.

Increase SMT production productivity by upgrading assembly machines with single and dual lane conveyor systems.
In the pursuit of improved productivity, any surface-mount assembly line can contain a bottleneck that presents a barrier to increasing throughput. Adding an extra mounter is an obvious way to overcome this, although a faster machine is another option. On the other hand, it could be time to upgrade the line to a dual lane setup. The optimum decision can depend on the typical board cycle time and variety of components to be placed on each PCB.
